Your generous contribution to the Sickle Cell Foundation of Greater Montgomery, Inc. supports year-round programs and initiatives. As good stewards of your donations, we follow clear guidelines in processing your gifts.
Gift Policy Standards
All donations to Sickle Cell Foundation of Greater Montgomery, Inc. (SCFGM, Inc.) support the mission of providing education, screening, and counseling services to individuals with Sickle Cell Disease and other abnormal hemoglobins. Established in 1982, the Foundation has a deep rooted commitment to making strides in monitoring the occurrence of Sickle Cell Anemia, improving the quality of life for those with the disease, and cooperating with individuals and agencies conducting research.
SCFGM, Inc. manages a number of fundraising initiatives with our programs to make every donated dollar go further for the clients in our thirteen county program areas. We carefully consider the needs of the Organization and will use your gift where it is most needed so that all donations may directly and indirectly support the Sickle Cell Foundation of Greater Montgomery in our thirteen county areas. When processing each gift, we will follow documented Sickle Cell Foundation of Greater Montgomery, Inc. business rules and agreements, the Donor’s Bill of Rights, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles standards.
SCFGM, Inc. will not accept any restrictions on use of donations less than $10,000: however, if you specially request at the time of donation that funds be distributed to a specific program we will honor such a request so long as distribution does not conflict with other SCFGM’s policies. Third parties to a donation may not change the original designation of a gift. All donations are final and cannot be exchanged or refunded for monetary value; however, SCFGM, Inc. may refuse any gift that does not sufficiently benefit the Organization, is a conflict with SCFGM’s mission, puts the reputation of SCFGM, Inc. at risk or is prohibited by law.
